Stephen D. Eldridge
Steve came to the firm in the fall of 2007, with a background in commercial real estate transactions and litigation. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech (B.A. in Political Science) and the Wake Forest University School of Law. Before entering private practice, Steve served as a judicial clerk for the Massachusetts Superior Court assisting the Court’s justices in the research and analysis of complex civil matters, including business and land use disputes. Following his clerkship, Steve practiced law in Boston for five years addressing a variety of legal issues for individuals and business entities of all sizes.
Since joining the firm, Steve has assisted in closing numerous large real estate financing transactions as well as a number of smaller deals. In addition, Steve has reviewed and/or drafted numerous deeds, loan agreements, leases, and other documents and has assisted in a variety of other legal issues in commercial real estate and small business matters.
Steve was born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Emily, a Midlothian native, relocated to Richmond in 2007 and welcomed their first child, Abigail, in 2008. Steve is an avid runner and frequently competes in obstacle course races throughout Virginia and beyond. Steve is also active in alumni affairs at Virginia Tech and is president-elect of the board of directors of the Marching Virginians Alumni Association.
